| PLANNING & RESERVING YOUR BUILD SPOT |
In order to get the houseboat you deserve, careful planning is required.A new houseboat is a
major investment and Twin Anchors will strive to deliver your boat to you exactly as you have
envisioned her.Today’s premium houseboats are complex and so is the team required to design
and build them.
Twin Anchors has a team of computer aided designers and a structural engineer who prepare
over a dozen drawings for every boat including floor plans and elevations, electrical, mechanical,
plumbing, and HVAC systems. While they are working on the technical details, our interior
designer creates the interior styling details and color palette with you.To comply with Twin
Anchors ISO 9000-2000 quality assurance program,we also prepare and complete in excess of
eighty pages of checklists on every vessel we build! As you can imagine, this all takes time so
planning is paramount.
ONE-STEP PROCESS:
1. PLANNING & RESERVING YOUR BUILD SPOT
After receiving your quote, you
wish to immediately proceed with an order.A deposit of $11,000.00 will lock in a build
spot and get the drawing and design work completed. In return for your $11,000.00
deposit, ($10,000.00 to hold the build spot and $1,000.00 as a drawing deposit), you will
receive a $11,500.00 credit toward your new boat. If, for any reason after drawings have
commenced and prior to ninety days before the build is scheduled to begin, you are not
able to proceed with your boat,Twin Anchors will return $10, 000.00 to you and you will
retain a $1,500.00 credit toward the building of your new boat at a future date.
TWO-STEP PROCESS:
1. PLANNING YOUR HOUSEBOAT
A $1,000.00 deposit gets the drawing and
design work started. For this $1,000.00, you will receive a $1,500.00 credit towards
building your new boat.
2. RESERVING YOUR BUILD SPOT
Final drawings are complete and you wish
to proceed with the build.A $10,000.00 build spot deposit will reserve your space.
The next deposit is due sixty days prior to the scheduled build start and is 20% of the contract
price. At this point you have two choices:
- Make three additional progress payments of 20% each throughout the build process
and a payment of the balance on completion.
- Lodge an Irrevocable Letter of Credit (I.L.O.C.), that is acceptable to our bank,
prior to build commencement that will be drawn down upon completion of the
vessel.
We do not currently provide “in house” financing, but do keep abreast with financing
availability and, if required, are pleased to help you find acceptable terms. We currently have
access to financing via a 20-year Ships Mortgage with low fixed rates.

& BUILD SCHEDULE
A. Decide on the size of boat and the features you wish to include.
B. Twin Anchors develops a preliminary, itemized build sheet including costs.
C. If this seems within your budget the next
step is to start the build process.
BUILD PROCESS

Detailed drawings are started and specifications refined.
2. Boat specifications are reviewed with boat owners and interior design and color selections proceed.
3. Final boat design, specifications, color and material selections. This must be completed 6 weeks prior to scheduled
completion date in order for purchasing
to assure materials are received on time.
4. Four weeks prior to scheduled completion date, the drawings and specifications are issued to the floor. Station managers, purchasing and engineering staff complete a drawing
review.
